Lumberton
Bobby Oxendine, 78, of Lumberton, NC, died Sunday, March 10, 2024, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC.
Bobby worked as a Dental Technician for over 45 years building the second largest lab in Charlotte. He mastered his craft through study and hard work. He was a great provider for his family took pride in that fact and loved working. In his spare time he enjoyed rebuilding and restoring classic cars. Through the years, he bought and rebuilt and sold many cars.
Early on, he trained several German Shepard dogs for competition and won many trophies. As time passed, he was able to travel to various destinations with his beloved wife, Gloria.
During later years, he enjoyed planting a garden during the summer and collards during the fall. After working the garden he enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying the family and eating peanuts. After moving back to Lumberton, his passion was sitting on the porch looking at the lake and watching the geese and ducks.
He will be greatly missed but will always be remembered as a compassionate, helpful soul willing to do whatever he could do to help.
