Bobby Norton, 79, of Lumberton, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, at UNC-Health in Lumberton, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Norton and Flonnie Belle Oxendine.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys Jones Norton of the home; six sons, Jimmy Avery, Jackie Avery (Pat), Terry Avery, JR Avery (Flora Brown Avery), Bobby Avery (Angie), and David Avery; a daughter, Carolyn Avery; two brothers, John Norton and Cleo Norton; two sisters, Emily Hall and Marie Hall; and 10 grandchildren.
