Mr. Bobby Daniel McVickers, age 74, of Parkton, NC, passed away Friday, November 29, 2019, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Robeson County on June 29, 1945 to the late Clarence McVickers and the late Emma West Willoughby. Before retirement, he was a furniture repairman in the local area and served as a minister as well.

Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by two sisters, Pattie Sue Nobles and Melba Faye Parker; his step-father, Leslie Willoughby and his mother-in-law, Nancy Ailene Hemmingway.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Hemmingway McVickers of the home; four children: Mark McVickers (Annie), Trent McVickers (Lisa), Tony McVickers (Kimberly), and Paula Autry (Mark), all of Parkton; two step-children, Ricky Lee (Jo Anna) of Hope Mills and Deborah Barefoot (David) of Fayetteville; along with 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday, December 1, 2019, from 2:00-3:30 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM in the chapel with Pastor Tony McVickers and Rev. Ronnie Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
