Bobby McGee, Sr., 79, of Lumberton, died on Friday, April 14 2023 in UNC Southeastern hospital in Lumberton.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Carlean McGee; one brother, Hersley McGee; one daughter, Melinda Scott; one son, Timmy Wayne McGee, and two grandchildren, Lesley Elizabeth and Britney Latchelle.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Oxendine McGee of the home; one brother, Henry McGee of Lumberton; two sisters, Marie Scott and husband Michael of Charlotte, NC and Hazel Lloyd, also of Charlotte, NC; three sons, Bobby McGee, Jr. and wife Jenny of Fairmont, NC, Michael McGee and wife Cindy of Pembroke, and Jerry McGee and wife Myrtice of Fairmont; three grandchildren Myra Kay, Bobby Quinn and Katherine Grace and seven great-grandchildren, Hannah, Kendall, Kanan, Kenzleigh, Kayleigh, Winley and Arianna.

There will be a visitation on Sunday night, April 16th at Floyd Funeral Services, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There will be a funeral service held on Monday, April 17th, at 2:00 pm in Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont. Burial will immediately follow at Fairpoint cemetery.
