Bobby Vernon Lamb, 81, of 1006 East 14th Street, died Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He was born to the late Elias and Emma Roberts Lamb on August 2, 1926 in Badie, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lamb of Lumberton; 3 sons, David Lamb of Bolivia, NC, Chris Lamb of Raleigh, and Jimmy Lamb of Lumberton; 6 step-daughters, Barbara Prevatte of Lumberton, Tina Pearson of Marion, Mass., Debra Pearson of Cumming, GA, Vicky Walters of Lumberton, Donna Spencer of Coca, FL and Mary Hester of Lumberton; his sister, Ruth Inman of Holden Beach, NC; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Godwin Heights Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Dave Hollaway and Rev. Lynn Bullock.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 29, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.
