Bob was born in Orrum, NC, and was the son of Roy Barden and Kelly Nye. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized while in high school at Orrum Baptist Church.

He served four years in the U.S. Air Force as a flight mechanic working on B52's. While serving at Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, ME, he met his bride of 61 years, Donna Greenier. After leaving the Air Force, he was employed with Carolina Power & Light for a little over 34 years. He and Donna have been richly blessed with three children, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family. He was a great provider for his family and took pride in being a hard worker and a person of integrity. He will be greatly missed, but we look forward to seeing him again in our heavenly home for all of eternity.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC.

His celebration service will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Godwin Heights Baptist Church, 704 Godwin Avenue in Lumberton, NC, with Rev. David Hawes officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, 5190 Fayetteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
