Mrs. Blonnie Mae Hunt, age 93, of Fairmont, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County on April 14, 1922 to the late Rich Porter and the late Orinda Locklear Porter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter N. Hunt; her son, Ned Hunt; her daughter, Barbara Ann Hunt; four sisters, Cattie Mae Hunt, Beulah Hunt, Bertha Mae Hunt and Blanche Hunt and one brother, Buck Porter and six grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memories with her children, Jessie James "Jack" Hunt of Lumberton, Betty Jane Goins (Robert) of Fairmont, Walter Junior Hunt (Bonnie) of Springsfield, TN, Linda Joyce Goins (Daniel Gerald) of Lumberton, Vernon "Jimmy" Hunt (Mary) of Fairmont, Thomas Earl Hunt of Fairmont, Janice Oxendine (Walter) of Fairmont, Anthony Hunt (Doris) of Fairmont, Shevie Jean Locklear of Fairmont, Bonnie Faye Bullock of Fairmont and Linda Faye Locklear of Raeford; a special granddaughter that she raised like a daughter, Jennifer Hunt of Fairmont; her brothers, Howard and Harold Porter, both of Lumberton and her sister, Hazel Ransom of Lumberton; 55 grandchildren; 140 great-grandchildren and 59 great-great grandchildren. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 3:00PM at McDonald Pentecostal Holiness Church in Fairmont with Lee Marvin Hunt, Timmy Hunt and Frankie Bartley officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.
