Mrs. Birta Marie McGirt was born on March 20, 1944. She left this earth on August 25, 2014 making her journey of 70 years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 27, 2014 at Macdonald Church of God at 3:00 PM with Revs. James Earl Hunt and Richard Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in McDonald Church of God Cemetery Hwy 130 E. Fairmont. Visitation will be held Wednesday August 27, 2014 from 2:00-3:00 PM at MacDonald Church of God prior to the service. Mrs. McGirt was preceded in death by her husband Cleveland McGirt and two sons, Kenneth and Michael McGirt. She leaves to cherish her memories one brother, John David Lowery of Laurinburg; four sons, James Junior McGirt of the home, Mark Anthony McGirt of Fairmont, James Cleveland McGirt of Marion, SC, and Rona Paul McGirt of Pendleton, SC; two daughters, Cathy Hunt of Fairmont, and Wanda Gail Jones of Lumberton; nineteen grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
