Mr. William "Billy" Oakley Wilcox, 81, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. He was born to the late Redden Wilcox and the late Bertha Cox Wilcox in Robeson County, NC on January 16, 1941.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Billy Wilcox; his brother, Ronald Wilcox and his daughter-in-law, Patricia Richardson.

Billy is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Lillie Wilcox; his children, Sandy Stone (Steve) of Lugoff, SC, Dickie Wilcox (Belinda) of Fairmont, Tommy Richardson of Lugoff, SC and Joyce Anne Wilcox of Myrtle Beach, SC; two sisters, Betty Wilcox and Renee Bennett (Charlie), all of Lumberton; one brother, H.C. Wilcox of Lumberton; daughter-in-law, Gale Wilcox of Fairmont;  eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and many special family and friends.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Sand Hill Baptist Church, 2726 Pope Crossing Road in Lumberton, NC, with Pastor Johnny Bruce and Pastor Bill Platt officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
