Mr. Billy Ray Richardson, age 76, of Lumberton, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014.

He was born in Columbus County on April 7, 1938 to the late Robert Richardson and the late Daisy Cartrette Richardson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers.

Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife, Margaret Walters Richardson, of the home; one son, Timmy Ray Richardson (Sandra) of Chadbourn; two daughters, Sandra Kay Nance (Alvie) of Evergreen and Billie Regina Sanchez of Lumberton; two sisters, Bernice Anderson of Ocean Isle Beach and Betty Rhodes of Chadbourn; eight grandchildren, Stephania Burton, Shannon Nance, Tracy McPherson, Ryan Daniel Sanchez, Adriana Brooke Garcia, Angela Maria Sanchez, William Gore and Ashton Gore and two great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 5:00-7:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will follow the visitation on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 7:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, Lumberton. Burial will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 11:00AM at Boardman Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
