Billy Ray Owens' Obituary
Billy Ray Owens, age 83, of Lumberton, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018, at his home. He was born April 13, 1935 in Columbus County to the late Charlie Owens and the late Susie Lowry Owens.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Cathryn Ann Powell Owens.
He is survived by his children: Anthony Owens of the home, Marie Green of Monroe, Billy Faye Staller (D.J.) of Hamlet, and Renee Jackson (Curtis); eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jimmie Earl Owens of Seattle, WA and Ronald Bruce Owens of Lumberton; and three sisters: Marie Coley of Fayetteville, Sue Neil Roberts of Oak Island, and Beverly Milligan of Siler.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the Owens Family Cemetery, 2404 Green Mill Road in Clarkton, with Rev. Ronald Locklear officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the graveside.
