Billy Ray Patterson, Sr., age 62, passed away Tuesday, May 08, 2012, at his home. He was born September 19, 1949 in Robeson County to the late Robert Patterson and the late Eunice Edwards Patterson. He previously worked as a self-employed heating and air serviceman.

Mr. Patterson is survived by his wife, Carol Fairfax Patterson; two sons, Ron Hinson, Jr. of Lumberton and Billy Ray Patterson, Jr. of Fayetteville; two daughters, Lisa H. Bass and husband, Frank, of Lumberton and Tracy Patterson of Red Springs; two brothers, Bobby Patterson of Denver, CO and Steve Patterson of Parkton; three sisters, Patsy MacKenzie and Judy Walters, both of St. Pauls and Amanda Ivey of Parkton; special mother-in-law, Betty Fairfax, of the home; 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Godwin Heights Baptist Church, Lumberton at 2:00 PM, with Rev. David Holloway and Rev. Ray Lundy officiating. Burial will follow at Powell Cemetery in Fair Bluff.
