Billy Mac Lewis, age 77, of Lumberton, NC died on Friday, November 19, 2010 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Clinton, NC on January 22, 1933 to the late Morrison and Myrtle Bruce Lewis. He was a veteran of the United States Army and previously worked at The Robesonian as general manager.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Morrison and Myrtle Lewis; his wife, Rachel Walters Lewis, a son, Timothy Grant Lewis; two brothers, Gerald Lewis and Edwin Lewis; and a sister, Nancy Brisson.

Mr. Lewis is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Lewis of the home; a brother, Morris Lewis of Lumberton, NC; five grandchildren, Jason Lewis, Jeremy Lewis, Jamie Lewis, Alex Culbreth and Katie Culbreth; and one great-grandchild, Jayden Lewis.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday following the the burial at the cemetery.
