Billy Brown Smith, Jr., age 52, of Fairmont, NC, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022, at the Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. He was born March 16, 1970 in Robeson County, NC.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Brown Smith.

Billy was an avid horse lover who enjoyed participating in barrel racing, loved motorcycles, and was a great artist. He loved joking with people and making people laugh.

Billy is survived by his mother, Barbara F. Smith of the home; two daughters, Jessica Smith England and husband John of Rogersville, AL and Chelsea Smith Stone and husband Nick of Lumberton, NC; two sisters, Janet Kay Smith Murray and husband Jimmy of Goldsboro, NC and Barbara Lynn Smith Johnson and husband Gregory of Fairmont, NC; four grandchildren, Haven, Rylan, and Landon England and Avonlea Stone; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would especially like to thank Brenda Goolsby and the Southeastern Hospice House for all they did for Billy.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 11:00AM in Floyd Memorial Cemetery, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont, NC, with Rev. Michael Bowen officiating.
