Billy Britt, age 79, of Lumberton, NC died on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on May 5, 1930 to the late Curley and Ganell Williamson Britt. He had worked as a bridgeman for the State of North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mildred West Britt; his daughter, Jackie Britt; and a brother, Edison Britt.

Mr. Britt is survived by four brothers, Jimmie Britt, Stonie Britt, Joe Britt and Jerry Britt all of Lumberton, NC; five sisters, Margie Moody of Baltimore, MD, Ruby Baldwin of Lumberton, NC, Lynn Blackley of Dunn, NC, Sally Williamson of Chadbourn, NC and Brenda Nichols of Goldsboro, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery with Rev. Joe Bounds officiating.

Visitation will be on Friday evening, February 5, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
