Billie Thompson Lennon, 85, of Hermitage Retirement Center, died Saturday, February 2,
2008 at Southeastern Hospice House. She was born to the late Elijah Thompson and
Simmie Babson Thompson on July 29, 1922 in Robeson County, NC.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Denver B. Lennon.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Denver Parker and husband, Roger,
Caroline Rising and husband, Avery, Shelby Hodge and husband, Tommy, Sarah Nobles
and husband, Tommy, Simmie Mills and husband, Tony, Shirley Carter, LC Carter and
wife, Kathy, Kenneth Duke, Danny Lennon and Pam, Monica Yates and Brad, Boyce
Lennon and Michelle; 1 grandson, Boyd Walters; and 1 great grandson, Denver Walters.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Floyd Memorial Chapel at
2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jeff Broadwell and Avery Rising officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 4, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Floyd
Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.
