Ms. Beverly Elizabeth Prevatte, age 55, of Charlotte, formerly of Lumberton, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in Charlotte. She was born in Robeson County on July 23, 1960. She previously worked as a Speech Pathologist for Charlotte Mecklenburg County Schools. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Wright Prevatte. She leaves to cherish her memories with her mother, Ruth Powers Prevatte of Charlotte; her sister, Karen Prevatte Stephenson and husband, Rev. Steve Stephenson of Wilson; her brother, Daniel Prevatte and wife, Carol Jean Hawks Prevatte of Charlotte; nieces, Marybeth Stephenson, Courtney Stephenson Pickett and husband, Clint Pickett, Carly Prevatte and Chloe Pickett; and her nephews, Graham Prevatte, Andrew Prevatte, Sedrick Pickett and Cole Pickett. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 10:00-10:45AM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. Steve Stephenson officiating.
