Mrs. Betty R. Pittman Tyner, age 77 of Lumberton, NC passed away peacefully Friday, June 7, 2024, surrounded by her family at Conway Medical Center. She was born on December 22, 1946 in Robeson County, NC.

Ms. Tyner was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Tyner, Sr.; her parents, Albert and Dorothy Pittman; two sisters, Faye Allen and Patricia (Trish) Mayers; one brother, Roy Pittman; sister-in-law, Debby Pittman; and brother-in-law, Mickey Connor.

Ms. Tyner is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Tyner Lane; one son, Larry "Sim" Tyner (Wendi) all of Aynor, SC; five sisters: Margie Smith (Wayne) of Oak Island, NC, Shelby Wilcox and Susan Pittman, both of Lumberton, NC, Deborah Conner of Proctorville, NC, and Sharon Edwards (Glen) of Fayetteville, NC; one brother, Jimmy Pittman of Whitehouse, TN; one sister-in-law, Diane Barnes Pittman, and brother-in-law, Gene Pittman, both of Lumberton, NC; six grandchildren: Kaytee Nielsen (Christopher), Morgan Tyner, Zachary Lane, Gavin Tyner, Peyton Lane, and Cameron Lane; four great-grandchildren: Aydan Scott, Kinnsleigh Bentley, Rhyleigh Bentley, and baby Micah Bentley (due in October); and several nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life for Ms. Tyner will be held at 6:00 pm.
