Betty Francis Raney, age 92, of Lumberton, NC died on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Glen Flora in Lumberton.  She was born in Fort Worth, TX on November 14, 1923 to the late Daniel Wesley and Annie Bell Crow Austin.  She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Carol Ann Raney; brothers, Henry Austin, Guy Austin, and Buck Austin; and sisters, Mary Parkman, Margie Cox, and Mildred Shaw.

Mrs. Raney is survived a son, Bob Raney and wife Ella of Lumberton; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 5:00-6:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.  A Celebration of Life will be at 6:00 PM.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton with Rev. Bob Jordan officiating.
