Betty Oxendine Deese, age 64, of Lumberton passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Betty was born April 5, 1957 in Robeson County, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wilbert Oxendine; her husband, Charles "Chuckie" Deese; and two sisters, Doris Jones and Patricia Hunt.

She is survived by eight sons, Charles Ray Deese, Anthony Deese and friend Tracey Ivey, Scottie Deese and wife Kristie all of Lumberton, Tequila Deese and friend Yolanda Oxendine and Lonnie Deese all of St. Pauls and Jezreelite Deese and friend Harley Blanks, Brandon Deese and Lavar Deese all of Lumberton; eight daughters, Brandy, Chasity, Delonna and Shewanna Lewis, Makenzie, Carly Brittany and Deanna Deese all of Lumberton; her mother, Katie Oxendine of Lumberton; one brother, Randy Jones of Lumberton; four sisters, Addie Lee Hunt of Pembroke, Carolyn Locklear and Wilma Oxendine both of Lumberton and Annie Ruth Hunt of Fairmont; forty four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two special friends, James Lewis and Victor Hunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A time of visitation will take place on Saturday, May 15, 2021, from 6-8pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont, NC.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at 2:00pm in Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont, NC. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery in Fairmont, NC.
