Betty Freeman McPhatter, age 88, of Lumberton, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020 at GlenFlora Assisted Living in Lumberton.  She was born in Robeson County on January 8, 1932 to the late Lawrence C. Freeman and the late Bertie Coxe Freeman.  She was a longtime member of Hog Swamp Baptist Church and previously worked at Somewhere In Time Antique Mall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy McPhatter; her brothers, Ralph Freeman, Carroll Freeman, Romulus Freeman, Leroy Freeman and Albert Earl Freeman.

She leaves to cherish her memories with her son, Billy M. McPhatter, of Lumberton; a sister, Isolene F. Rice of Lumberton; two grandchildren, Dylan McPhatter and Riley McPhatter, both of Summerville, SC and a host of special beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday, March 2, 2020 from 1:00-2:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tony Ward officiating.  Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
