Betty Jo Gore Brumbles, age 75, of Lumberton, NC died at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC on Friday, August 18, 2017.  She was born in Cumberland County, NC on January 23, 1942 to the late Henry Clarence and Alice Smith Gore.  She previously worked as a manager for NC Natural Gas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Eddie Gore.

Mrs. Brumbles is survived by her husband, R. Gene Brumbles of the home; a son, Brian Doan (Sherri) of AR; a daughter, Cynthia Tinkham of Creedmoor; a brother, George Gore (Roberta) of Fayetteville; a sister, Annie Smith (Ben) of Fayetteville; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery with Rev. Tim Gore officiating.  A time of visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.

In lieu of flowers memorials are encouraged to be made to Southeastern Hospice House, 1100 Pine Run Drive, Lumberton, NC 28358.
