Due to the weather, the services for Ms. Deese have been rescheduled. The visitation will be Friday, January 24th. The funeral will be Saturday, January 25th. The times are listed below. The times will remain the same.

Betty Evans Deese of Fairmont, NC was born January 17, 1949 in Robeson County.

She departed this life on Sunday, January 19, 2025 peacefully at her home making her journey of 76 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Ernest Evans and Luecellers Hunt Evans; her husband, Terry Lynn Deese; two sisters, Lucille and Rosemary Evans; a brother, Ernie Evans.

She survived by a son, Roderick Deese (Ella Rose), of Lumberton, NC; a granddaughter, Hailie Deese of Rowland, NC and a grandson, RJ Deese of Rowland, NC; two step-grandson, Micah and Jamison Chavis both of Lumberton, NC; a great grandson, Ace Jones of Rowland, NC; one sister, Vickie Evans of Lumberton, NC; one brother, Felix "Pete" Evans of Lumberton, NC; her extended family, two brothers-in-laws, Gary Deese and Barry Deese (Brenda) both of Fairmont, NC, special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 24, 2025 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont, NC.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM at New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church with Rev. Johnny Locklear and Bishop Kenny Mitchell officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
