Betty Jo Collins Paul, age 80, of Whiteville, NC, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Columbus Regional Medical Center in Whiteville, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on October 15, 1943, to the late Robert Lee & Mary Emma Herring Collins.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Paul; two infant brothers and four sisters: Mildred Powers, Christine Lamb, Carol Hair, and Loree Lee; and her niece and nephews: Linda Watts, Robert Lamb, and Wayne Lee.

She is survived by her stepchildren, Karla Woody and Randall Paul; her nieces and nephew: Denise Lamb, Lisa P. O'Connor, and Robert Hair; and several special great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, and great-great-great-nieces and great-great-great-nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nursing staff of Shoreland Healthcare & Retirement Center in Whiteville, NC for all their compassion and care.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Broad Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, 949 N. Broadridge Road in Orrum, NC, with Rev. Chris Hardee officiating.
