Beth Stephens Bowen, age 68, of Shallotte, formerly of Lumberton, died on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at the age of 68.  She was born on September 2, 1956.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Bowen; her mother, Hilda Stephens Hall; father, Ralph Carlton Stephens; brother, Ralph Stephens, Jr. and a nephew, Josh Stephens.

She is survived by her sister, Wanda Musselwhite (Jeff) and nephew, Matt Musselwhite, all of Wilmington; sister-in-law, Jill Stephens and nephew, Jason Stephens, both of Wilmington; nephew, Richard Ivey, and great-nieces, Ivey and Maddie Mattcheck, all of Charlotte; two special life-long friends, Pam Lawrence Kattan of Raleigh and Beth Glover of Cary, as well as Pam's three daughters Gabby, Sam and Allie who she considered her own.

Beth loved her family, her nieces and nephews, her friends, children, Holdens Beach, music, flowers and holidays, especially Christmas.  She was a fantastic cook and who loved cooking for her friends and family.

Beth had a personality larger than life.  The only thing bigger was her heart.  She will be missed by so many people.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11:00AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.  It will be conducted by Dr. Lynn Bullock.  The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00AM prior to the service.

Burial will be at Meadowbrook Cemetery.  She will be laid to rest with her husband, Ralph and her mother.
