Bertha Julia Caton, age 101, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Wesley Pines Retirement Center, where she resided for the past 10 years. She was born in Belle Vernon, PA on October 19, 1914. She and her family moved to Miami, FL in 1946 and later moved to Lumberton in 1987.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Caton, in 1989; 3 sisters; and 1 brother.

She is survived by her son, Robert E. Caton & wife Faye of Lumberton; her grandchildren: Karen Caton Granger & husband James of Lumberton and Robert E. Caton, Jr. & wife Forrest of Atlanta; 4 great-grandchildren: Emily & Camille Caton of Atlanta and Lucas & Laura Granger of Lumberton.

A time of visitation will take place on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016, at 11:00 AM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Father Zacharie Tati officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
