Bertha Hardin Brumbles, 92, of 98 Elba Street, Lumberton, NC died Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. She was born to the late Mel Hardin and Ruby Hayes Hardin on March 23, 1916 in Dillon County, SC.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Brumbles; and a granddaughter, Connie Cox.
She is survived by her son, Gene Brumbles and wife, Betty of Lumberton, NC; 2 daughters,
Margaret B. Cox and husband, Dallas of Dunn, NC and Mamie B. Evans of Lumberton, NC; 6 grandchildren, Chris Brumbles, Tammy Roosma, Brad Brumbles, Cindy Graham, Charles Cox
and Amanda Leggett; and 12 grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Floyd Memorial Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Henry Bruce officiating.
