Bernice Alton Taylor, age 80, of Lumberton, NC died on Monday, November 16, 2009 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born on November 11, 1929 to Alex Taylor and Lottie Taylor in Robeson County. He previously worked as a controller at CP&L.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Marcella Little Taylor of the home; one son, Richard Edwin Taylor of Lumberton, NC; three daughters, Janet Taylor Caulder and Debra Lynn Davis of Lumberton, NC, and Teresa Ann Taylor of the home; one brother, Robert Taylor of Lumberton, NC; six grandchildren, Alisha Gilstrap, Angela Allen, Elaine Lowery, Marshall Caulder, April Davis William Davis; three great-grandchildren, Allison Marie Nolan, Jordan Nolan, and Ashley Fox; and one great-great grandchild, Jonna Fox.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 2:00 PM at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lumberton with Rev. Russell Kinlaw, Rev. Gary Strickland and Rev. Tim Bowen. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton and other times at 11356 NC Hwy East in Lumberton.
