Mrs. Bernice Hunt Oxendine, age 72, of Fairmont, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

She was born May 19, 1952 in Marion County, SC to the late Boston Hunt and the late Thelma Hunt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jovis Hunt, NL Hunt, Ronnie Hunt and Donald Hunt; her sisters, Lee Verchus Locklear and Alice Oxendine.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lennon Oxendine of the home; one daughter, Malina Brayboy of Lumberton, NC; two sons, Kevin Oxendine (Shelia Oxendine) of Fairmont, NC, and Carlie Oxendine "Lynn" of Fairmont, NC and a bonus son, Michael Levinson of Lumberton, NC; five grandchildren, Kevin Duane Oxendine (Kayla), Cody Oxendine, special granddaughter, Jalyn Oxendine, Gage Brayboy, and Zack Hannah; four step grandchildren, Summer Bailey, Seth Britt, Kierra Locklear, and Halana Oxendine; two great granddaughters, Kaylianna Shaw and Kataleya Storm Oxendine; four sisters, Juanita Graham, Emma Campbell, Janice Rogers, and Pam Hunt; three brothers, Randy Hunt, Ray Hunt, and Thomas Hunt, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 3:00PM at McDonald Holiness Church, 8669 NC Hwy. 130, Fairmont.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
