Bernice Hunt Locklear, age 86, of Phoenix City, AL died on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Columbus Regional Hospital, Columbus, GA. She was born in Robeson County, NC on March 4, 1923 to the late Ernest and Elizabeth Clark Hunt. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hinson Locklear, Sr.

Mrs. Locklear is survived by three sons, Hinson Locklear, Jr. and LaFon Locklear and wife Clementine of Lumberton, NC and Allen Locklear of Lauders, WY; three daughters, Sylvia Locklear of Hawthorne Woods, IL, Treva Elliott of Fortson, GA and Jackie Graham and husband Reco of Lumberton, NC; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Lesaundri Hunt and Rev. Cleveland Lewis. Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
