Bro. Bennie Davis Hunt of Fairmont, NC was born December 12, 1945, to the late Tessie Hunt and the late Marie Locklear Hunt. He went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at his home, making his journey of 75 years.

Bro. Bennie was a faithful member of Fairpoint Freewill Baptist Church in Fairmont, NC and he was also a member of Fairpoint's Brotherhood.

Bro. Bennie is survived by his wife, Martha J. Hunt of the home; a son, Bennie Daniel Hunt of Lumberton, NC; two granddaughters, ShiTaylor Marie Hunt and Nakiyah Alexus Hunt, both of Lumberton, NC; a daughter, Nicole Annette Locklear of Lumberton, NC; two grandsons, Justin Imani Odom of Lumberton, NC and Tyree Khalil Oliver of East Arcadia, NC; and five great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday, August 15, 2021, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont, NC. Following the visitation, t he funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will follow at Fairpoint Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Fairmont, NC.
