Barbara Ann Smith, age 83, of Lumberton, previously of Fairmont, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025 at The Carrolton Nursing Home of Lumberton.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on September 20, 1941.

She was preceded in death by husbands, R.C. Strickland and Jake Smith; her mother, Ella Flowers; her step-father, Jim Flowers; two daughters, Emily Bullock and Tami Russ; one son, Stevie Strickland; her brother, George Flowers and her sister, Mary Lois Beard.

She is survived by her son, Tim Strickland (Jan) of Evergreen; son-in-law, Thomas Russ of Lumberton; daughter--in-law, Lisa Strickland of Fairmont; eight brothers, Thomas Flowers of Florence, SC, Jerry Flowers (Myra), Harvey Flowers (Bobbie), Paul Flowers (Diane), John Flowers (Katie) and Edward Flowers, all of West Columbia, SC, Phillip Flowers (Erin) of Charlotte and J.M. Rice of Lumberton; one sisters, Margaret Salisbury (Mel) of Grand Prairie, TX; three grandchildren, Heather Cox (Jason), Summer Broadaway (Nathan) and Scott Strickland (Crystal) and four great-grandchildren, Morgan Walters, Bentley Cox, Brody Broadaway and Lennox Broadaway.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 12:30-2:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tim Lewis officiating.  Burial will follow at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont.
