Barbara Ann Rising Ellis, age 59, died on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at her residence in Shallotte, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on May 22, 1950 to the late Neil, Jr. and Lannie Connor Rising. She was a manager at the Unemployment Office in Rockingham, NC.

Mrs. Ellis is survived by one daughter, Lisa Ann Ellis of Bladenboro, NC; three brothers, Avery Rising of Bladenboro, NC, Timmy Rising of Fairmont, NC and Nicky Rising of Clarkton, NC; one sister, Janice Hilburn of Clayton, NC; and one grandchild, Breanna Rose Ellis.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton with Rev. Joe Bounds officiating.

Visitation will be held on Saturday evening, February 6, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
