Barbara Jean McLean, age 82, of Lumberton, NC, passed away at home. She was born in Lumberton, NC on February 2, 1942.

Mrs. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Charles McLean, and three brothers: Alvin Evers, Atlas Evers, and Bruce Evers.

She is survived by her son, Bobby Gilstrap (Karen) of Fayetteville, NC; a daughter, Vickie Gainey of Lumberton, NC; a sister, Geralda Howell (Ricky) of Lumberton, NC; eight grandchildren: Carmen, Joshua, Barbara, Rebecca, Brittany, Monica "Honey-bunny", Heather, and Courtney; and six great-grandchildren: Chloe, Jordan, Payton, Collin, Paisley, and Grayson.

Mrs. Barbara was the wife of Judge Charles McLean. Barbara loved to spend her free time outdoors and working with her hands, building houses, refinishing furniture. Her primary activity was in real estate.

A visitation will be held at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC, on Tuesday, August 20, 2024,  from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.

A funeral service will be held at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC, on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Johnny Walters officiating. Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
