Mrs. Barbara Cashwell Lamb, age 87, of Lumberton, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Golden Living Center in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County on October 9, 1924 to the late Russell Gordon Cashwell, Sr. and Sarah Parnell Cashwell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lamb; a brother, Russell Gordon Cashwell, Jr. and a special aunt, Mary Parnell Cashwell.

Mrs. Lamb is survived by two sons, Chris Lamb of Garner, NC and Jimmy Lamb of Lumberton, NC; six daughters, Barbara Prevatte and husband, Jimmy of Lumberton, NC, Christine Pearson of Marion, MA, Deborah Pearson and husband, Jim Mitschele of Cumming, GA, Vicki Walters and husband, Stan of Lumberton, NC, Donna Spencer and husband, Andy of Cocoa, FL and Mary Hester of Lumberton, NC; one brother, Richard Cashwell of Cross Plains, WI; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held on Sunday evening, December 18, 2011 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, December 19, 2011 at 2:00PM at Godwin Heights Baptist Church with Rev. David Holloway officiating.
