Mrs. Barbara Floyd Jenkins peacefully moved into heaven June 1, 2017.

"Let not your heart be troubled; You believe in God, believe in Me also for in My Father's house is many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."

She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton Armon Jenkins, Sr. and her parents, James Pittman Floyd and Bertha Davis Floyd.

Barbara graduated from Fairmont High School and attended Greensboro College. She was a special education teacher with Robeson County School system. She attended First Baptist Fairmont where she served God faithfully. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and many friends.

She is survived by her daughter Jill Collins (Sammy) and sons Jim Jenkins, Clay Jenkins (Hope); grandchildren, Courtney Jenkins (Jason), Stephanie Edwards (Daniel), Joshua Jenkins (Laura), Samantha Collins, Kelly Muller (Will), Jennifer Jenkins (Christian); her great grandchildren, Haley Irving, Tyler Griffin, Tyson Edwards, Katelyn Irving, Alexis Edwards, Wyatt Jenkins and her faithful caregiver and friend Vivian Chavis. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Hold My hand child, joy comes in the morning, weeping only last for a night, hold My hand child, joy comes in the morning, the darkest hour means dawn is just in sight.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 4th 2017 at 3pm at First Baptist Church in Fairmont. Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 2-3pm Sunday (prior to the service) at First Baptist Church.
