Barbara Jean Floyd Barber, age 85, of Orrum, NC passed away Monday, August 20, 2018 at her home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 4:00PM at Bloomingdale Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 3:00-4:00PM (one hour prior to the service) at Bloomingdale Baptist Church.

Ms. Barber was born May 3, 1933 Cheraw, SC to the late Rufus Floyd and Pheora Purvis Floyd.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Claude "DC" Barber, Jr.

She is survived by three sons, Timothy Barber of Orrum, Dwayne Barber(Lavon) of Mooresville, Randy Barber of Chadbourn; one sister, Iris Cooper of Raleigh, NC; a sister-in-law, Neil Lee of Latta, SC; 13 grandchildren, Danny Barber (Connie) of Washington State, Denise Stephens (Brian) of Orrum, John Barber (Rebecca) of Orrum, Melissa Barber of Orrum, Michael Dwayne Barber (Leslie) of Mt. Ulla, Joey Barber (Brittany) of Mooresville, Stephen Barber (Nikki) of Mt. Ulla, Brian Barber (Tracy) of Mooresville, Chris Barber (Sarah) of California, David Barber of Lenoir, Benjamin Barber (Ashley) of Spruce Pine, Cody Barber of Charlotte, and Hannah Barber of Chadbourn and 25 great grandchildren.
