Azeleen Williams Walters, age 98 of Fairmont, NC passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at her home. Azeleen was born March 21, 1925 near Beaulaville, NC to the late Henry Williams and the late Nancy Brinson Williams.

Azeleen was a kind loving woman to everyone she met. She was definitely loved and respected by all that knew her. Starting at an early age, one of her passions was sewing. Along with alternations, she made everything from bathing suits to wedding dresses. People came from all over to get Ms. Azeleen to do their alterations and make beautiful clothes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Beamon Walters; a daughter, Nancy Parker; a grandson, Wayne Floyd; two sisters, Gladys Bradford and Bernice Pippen; three brothers, Johnny, Raymond, and Jay Cee Williams.

She is survived by three children, Dean Walters of Little River, SC, Phyllis Walters of Fairmont, NC, and Jerry Walters (Dru) of Galveston, TX; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great- grandchildren.

The family is extremely grateful for the selfless and self-sacrificing efforts of Phyllis over the years to take the best care of our Mama. We also wish to acknowledge and thank so many who prayed and cared with a special thanks to Angie Lovin, Faye Sealey, Cynthia Floyd, Tammy Jones, RN and Melissa.

A time of visitation will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 11:00am until 12:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc. 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont, NC. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 PM in the Chapel.

Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Cemetery, across from the funeral home.
