Mr. Averette Jack Mitchell, Jr., age 77, of Fairmont, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County on November 14, 1937 to the late Averette Jack Mitchell, Sr. and the late Willie Lee Wagstaff Mitchell. He leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Sandra S. Mitchell, of the home; a daughter, Laura Borchert of Fairmont and two grandchildren, Howard Mitchell Borchert and Alexandra Smith Borchert. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 11:00AM at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont.
