Ava Marie Meares, age 49, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born in Long Island, NY on August 8, 1965 to Billy Carris and Carol Igneri Meares. She was a veterinarian assistant. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. Keith Long officiating. A time of visitation will follow the service at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
