Ms. Ava Lee Johnson, age 76 of Fairmont, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Duke Medical Center in Durham, NC. A Graveside service will be held Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont with Rev. Tim Tyner officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. Ms. Johnson was born July 8, 1938 in Robeson County to the late Gary Johnson, Sr. and Virginia McCormick Johnson. She is survived by two sons, Douglas Wright and Gregory Wright both of Bunnell, Fla; one daughter, Kimberly Dudney of Fairmont, NC; one brother, Gary Johnson of Morganton, NC; two sisters, Hilda Wilkes and Esther Herring both of Dillon, SC; five grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.
