Auty Monroe Walker, 90, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at Woodhaven Nursing Center in Lumberton. He was born April 18, 1927 in Columbus County to the late Allie Walker and Katie Benton Walker.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Bryant Walker; and his son, Gerald M. Walker.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Walker Yarborough and husband James E. of Lumberton; his daughter-in-law, Rose Walker of Lumberton; three grandchildren: Arthur Randolph "Randy" Stanton IV and wife Kayla, Ashley Monroe "Ash" Walker and wife Desiree, and Robert Trent Walker; two great-grandchildren; and his sister, Melba Walker Britt of Holden Beach.

A time of visitation will take place prior to the service Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Trinity Holiness Church from 6:00-7:00 PM.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM with Rev. Jamie Lewter and Rev. Ken Spencer officiating. Burial will be Monday, July 17, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
