Arvin Lee Oxendine, age 60, of Rowland, NC passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Scotland County, NC on August 3, 1953 to the late Redell Oxendine and the late Sarah Jacobs Oxendine. He previously worked for Fleetwood. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Esther O. Oxendine. Mr. Oxendine is survived by a son, Billy Austin Oxendine of the home; daughters, Jessica Danielle Oxendine of the home and Amelia K. Oxendine of Greensboro; brothers, James Henry Oxendine of Rowland, William Oxendine of Wagram, and Autry Oxendine of Pembroke; a sister, Linda Hunt of Pembroke; fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Funerals Services in Fairmont. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Fairpoint Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
