April grew up in Hillsborough, NC, where she attended Orange High School. She was a social butterfly who loved talking with others. She could brighten anyone's day with her infectious smile and laughter. She had such a love and devotion for her family. Her greatest joys in life were her three children and three grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Lee Hunt, Jr.; her maternal grandfather, Bryant Williams; and her paternal grandparents, Larry and Wanda Hancock.

Ms. Hunt is survived by her mother, Linda Pannell of GA; her maternal grandmother, Faye Williams of GA; one son, Antony M. Colley of Mebane; two daughters: Tristin N. Colley of Mebane and Madison J. Pollock of Carolina Beach; three grandchildren: Rayen Colley, Layla Colley, and Kyla Pulliam; three brothers: Ricky Hunt of Greenville, SC, Christopher Sawyers of Hillsborough, and Stephen Rafferty of Greensboro; two sisters: Patricia Sawyers of Lumberton and Samantha Sawyers of Burlington; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
