Mrs. Annie Odum Britt, wife of the late Boyce Clifton Britt, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017, at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton following a brief illness.

Mrs. Britt was a lifetime member of Hyde Park Baptist Church where she served in many capacities and for over forty-five years, including treasurer.

She was employed at Jerry-Ann Day Care for forty-three years. Her love for others was shown in her dedication as a volunteer for many years at Southeastern Health.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Odum and Annie Wiggins Odum and a son, Nesbit Britt.

She leaves to cherish her memories with two sons, Harrelson Britt (Sherry) and Merele Britt, all of Lumberton; three brothers, James Odum of Pinehurst, J.C. Odum of Greenville, NC and Charles Thomas Odum of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; two sisters, Elizabeth Tyner and Catherine Tyner, both of Lumberton; her grandson, James Britt (Vanessa); her granddaughter, Rebecca Haywood (Johnny) and two great-grandsons, Nathan and Trenten Britt.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc..

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Hyde Park Baptist Church in Lumberton with Rev. Jeff Blackburn and Rev. Dennis Harrell officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.
