Anne B. McPhatter, age 71, of Lumberton, passed away on Thursday morning, December 16, 2010 at Wesley Pines Nursing Center. She was born in Horry County on May 6, 1939 to the late Alva Edgar Buffkin and Bessie Miller Buffkin. She retired from Protective Agency, where she worked as an insurance agent, then continued to work for Monumental Life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Terry McPhatter.

She is survived by her husband, Graddy McPhatter of the home; a son, Chris McPhatter and wife, Beverly of Lumberton; a daughter, Sherry McPhatter McKee and husband, Danny of Cary; a brother, David E. Buffkin of Rockingham and three grandchildren, Brad McKee, Trent McKee and Cameron McPhatter.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles Brust officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.
