Anne Lovin McNabb, 84, formerly of Fairmont, NC, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family in Clarkton, NC on Monday, September 18, 2023.

Anne worked in the insurance business for over twenty years, at the Lumberton Chamber of Commerce for about fifteen years, and then for the State of North Carolina before retiring.

Anne was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a woman of strong faith and instilled that faith in her children. She loved to play piano. She was also a big fan of Elvis and even got to see him in concert.

Anne was kind and loving. Everyone that knew her thought she was the sweetest person they had ever known.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Everette Lovin, Sr. and Annie Stephens Lovin; her brothers, Archibald Lovin (Mabel) and Thomas Everette Lovin, Jr.; her brother-in-law, Albert Earl Freeman; her children, Bristow Leggett (Toy) Lovin, Jo Ann McNabb, and Lynn McNabb; and her grandson, Thomas Alan Gray Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Sue Kropp (Eric) of Wilmington, NC and Angel Hunt of Clarkton, NC; her brother, Mack Alton Lovin (Carolyn); her sister, Sara Freeman; her sister-in law, Diane Britt Lovin; her daughter-in-law, Sharon Lovin; her grandchildren: Shane Lovin (Karen), Christy Lovin Musselwhite (Greg), Zack Kropp (Amanda), Dustin Hunt (Beverly), Terry Hunt (Melissa), and Kimberly Nealy (Chris); and ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A public graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 24th at 4:00 pm at Fairmont Cemetery on Hwy 130 in Fairmont, NC.
