Ann Rogers Cook, age 80, of Lumberton, NC, passed peacefully with her daughters by her side. She was born in Marietta, NC to the late Thomas Stanton and Sadie McLellan Rogers.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Melinda Cook Brayboy of Lumberton and Deanna Williams (Tommy) of Richlands, NC. She is also survived by a sister, Brenda Bostic (Steve) of Fairmont. She leaves behind her two grandchildren, Anderson Brayboy and Anna Williams, who affectionately called her "Granny." Additionally, she leaves behind many nieces and nephews, who fondly remember as "Aunt Ann," and many friends and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Tim Cook; brothers, Joseph "Joe" Rogers, Tommy Rogers, Larry Rogers, Jerry Rogers, and Johnny Rogers; and a sister, Kay Rogers. She will be remembered as the matriarch of her family, being the oldest daughter of 8 children.

It was a normal occurrence for Ann to be out in public and hear, "Hey Ms. Cook!" and look up and recognize a previous student from her 30 years where she served as a Teacher's Assistant and bus driver at Long Branch Elementary School.

She was very active wearing many hats in her church, Broad Ridge Baptist Church, over the last 50 years and leaves behind a fellowship of "brothers and sisters" there.

Arrangements are as follows: visitation will be from 2pm to 3pm Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Antioch Baptist Church, 5089 Old Whiteville Road, Lumberton, NC 28358 with the funeral service at 3pm. Burial will follow at Broad Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, 949 N. Broadridge Road in Orrum, NC.
