Angela Kay Smith Baxley, 55, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at UNC Health Chapel Hill.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Baxley and her parents, Edward Carl Smith and Ellen Bass.

Angela is survived by her son, William Carl Baxley (Alexandria McCoy) of Colorado Springs, CO; three grandchildren, Natalie Baxley, Emma Baxley and Jedison McCoy; one sister, Laura Gonzalez (Gary); one nephew, Jack Gonzalez; stepfather, Jimmy Bass; and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Monday, September 21, 2026 at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street Lumberton, NC.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 1:00pm at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Pastor Wayne Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Burney Family Cemetery in Tarheel.
