Alvie Howard Stephens' Obituary
Alvie Howard Stephens, age 85, from Goose Creek, SC passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Southern Oaks Nursing Center in Greenville, SC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on January 14, 1930 to the late Randall and Ruby Suggs Stephens. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and previously worked as a theater manager for Carolina Theater.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorece Floyd Stephens; brothers, Carlis Stephens and John Stephens; and a sister, Ruby Stephens.
Mr. Stephens is survived by a son, Randy Stephens (Helen) of Garner; daughters, Susan Phillips (James) of Simpsonville, SC and Angie Gilstrap of Greenville, SC; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 5:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Hawes officiating. A time of visitation will be held following the service.
